Eligibility and Where You Can Enter
- Nationality: available to holders of passports from the countries and territories eligible for the Vietnam eVisa, including the US, UK, EU countries, Australia, Canada and many Asian countries. The application form confirms your nationality is eligible.
- Purpose: tourism and business travel.
- Passport: valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned exit date.
- Entry points: the eVisa is valid at Vietnam's designated international airports (including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Cam Ranh/Nha Trang and Phu Quoc) and a published list of land and sea checkpoints. If you are entering by land or sea, check that your checkpoint is on the official list before you apply.

Tips for a Smooth Same-Day Application
- Enter your real arrival date. This is the day your flight lands in Vietnam, and your eVisa validity starts from it.
- Consider the 3-month validity. It gives you the most flexibility if you decide to stay longer, and avoids having to arrange a new visa later.
- Double-check every character. On a short deadline there is very little time to fix a typo.
- One application per traveller. Children need their own application; attaching them to a parent's can cause both to be refused.
Vietnamese Business Hours Matter
Final approvals come from the Vietnamese government, which works Monday to Friday, 8:00-11:30 and 13:30-18:00 Vietnam time (GMT+7). The weekday tiers run inside those hours, and the Weekend/Holiday service covers the days the government is closed (apply before 15:00 Vietnam time for delivery before 18:00 the same day).
