Travel plans rarely go 100% smoothly. You might book a flight to Vietnam only to realize you still need a visa — and your plane departs in just a few hours. If you're an Australian traveler, don't panic. There are urgent visa options at a range of price points depending on how much buffer you actually have. This guide covers processing times, real prices, how to apply, and mistakes to avoid.
Who Needs a Vietnam Visa?
Australian passport holders must obtain a visa before boarding a flight to Vietnam — there's no general visa-free entry for Australians. Vietnam's eVisa system lets travelers apply entirely online without visiting an embassy.
Key points for Australians:
- Single-entry and multiple-entry eVisas available, valid for up to 90 days
- Must apply before travel — airlines will deny boarding without an approved eVisa
- Urgent processing is available if you're short on time
Why Choose Urgent Processing?
Urgent visa services are designed for time-sensitive situations:
- Forgetting to apply until the last minute
- Booking a same-day or next-day flight
- An existing application delayed through standard processing
With urgent processing, you can receive approval in as little as 30-60 minutes — fast enough to check in with confidence.
