Why Americans Sometimes Need an Urgent Visa
US passport holders are among Vietnam's most frequent visitors, but there's no visa exemption for Americans -- a valid eVisa is required before boarding. If your flight leaves today or tomorrow, standard processing (4-6 working days) simply won't work in time. That's where urgent processing helps:
- 30-60 minutes — extreme emergencies
- 1.5 or 2.5 hours — same-day flights
- 5 hours — same-day, more budget-friendly
- 1 day — next-day departures at a lower cost
Step-by-Step: How the 1-Hour Process Works
Via the website form, email, or WhatsApp. Provide your passport scan, flight ticket if available, and entry date.
By Visa or Mastercard. Processing begins once payment is confirmed.
Save the PDF to your phone, and print a copy if you'd like extra peace of mind, to show at check-in.

FAQ
Can I apply for a visa after arriving at the airport? +
No. Airlines won't let you board without a valid, approved eVisa. You must apply in advance -- even if it's only an hour before your flight.
Is the urgent fee worth it? +
Missing a flight usually costs far more in rebooking fees than the urgent processing fee itself, so for a genuine emergency it's often the more economical choice overall.
Will immigration treat a 1-hour visa differently from a standard one? +
No. Urgent visas go through the same official process as standard visas -- just handled with priority for a higher fee. It's the identical document.
How long is the eVisa valid for? +
Up to 90 days, available as single-entry or multiple-entry (+$25 USD).
