1. Why Irish Travelers Get Caught Off Guard
Irish passport holders do need a visa to enter Vietnam -- there's no visa exemption. Common situations that catch travelers off guard:
- An eVisa still showing "processing" close to departure
- Realizing at check-in that a visa is required
- Assuming (incorrectly) that Ireland has visa-free access
If your trip is coming up fast, urgent processing exists specifically for this.
2. What "Urgent" Actually Means
Urgent processing means your application is handled with priority through the same standard official channel -- it's the identical eVisa, just processed faster for a higher fee. It does not mean skipping required checks, and no service, including this one, can offer an unconditional guarantee, since final approval rests with Vietnam Immigration.
3. Urgent Vietnam eVisa Fees for Irish Citizens (2026)
All fees below are in USD, apply to a single-entry visa, and already include the government fee. Multiple-entry adds $25 to any tier.
4. Why Applications Sometimes Take Longer Than Expected
Delays can happen for several reasons:
- Name formatting that doesn't exactly match your passport
- An unclear photo or passport scan
- Higher application volume during peak periods
If your application seems stuck, contact support to check on it rather than submitting a second, duplicate application -- two applications with slightly different details can create a data mismatch that delays both.
5. Documents Required
Double-check every detail -- even a small typo can delay approval.
6. If You're Already at the Airport Without a Visa
7. What You Receive After Approval
- The official eVisa as a PDF, sent to your email
- The document airlines check before boarding
- The same document immigration checks on arrival
Save it to your phone -- printing isn't required, but a printed copy is a sensible backup in case of connectivity issues.
8. Why Choose ApplyEvisaVietnam.com
- Fast processing — from 30-60 minutes
- Transparent pricing — no hidden fees
- 24/7 support via WhatsApp and email
- Refund guarantee — if delivery misses your committed timeframe, the processing fee is refunded 100%

9. Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Assuming Ireland has visa-free access to Vietnam
- Relying on standard processing timelines when your trip is close
- Waiting for a reply instead of contacting support proactively
- Entering your name in the wrong order or format
10. When You Probably Don't Need Urgent Processing
You likely don't need an urgent tier if your flight is 6-7 days away, you have flexibility on travel dates, or cost matters more to you than speed. Standard processing (4-6 working days, $50 USD) works fine in these cases.
11. How to Apply, Step-by-Step
By Visa or Mastercard.
Within your chosen timeframe.
12. FAQ
Do Irish citizens have visa-free access to Vietnam? +
No. Irish passport holders need a valid eVisa to enter Vietnam -- there is no visa exemption.
Can I get approved once I'm already at the airport, close to boarding? +
Your eVisa must be fully approved before you board -- there's no way to get approved during boarding itself. If you're at the airport without one, apply for the fastest tier immediately and contact support, but there's no guarantee it will complete before your specific flight.
Why might my application be taking longer than expected? +
Common reasons include a name-formatting mismatch, an unclear photo or passport scan, or simply higher application volume. Contact support to check on a specific delayed application rather than submitting a duplicate.
Is urgent processing guaranteed? +
If you submit accurate, complete documents, approval within your chosen tier is very likely, but no service can unconditionally guarantee it. If delivery misses your committed timeframe, the processing fee is refunded 100%.
