1. What Is an Emergency Vietnam Visa?
An emergency Vietnam visa (sometimes called "urgent" or "express" eVisa) is fast-track processing for the same official document. While standard processing takes 4-6 working days, emergency tiers can deliver approval in as little as 30-60 minutes.
This is ideal if:
- You booked a last-minute flight
- You missed applying for a regular visa in time
- You have unexpected work or family obligations in Vietnam
2. Can Irish Citizens Get an Emergency Vietnam Visa?
Yes. Irish passport holders are fully eligible for Vietnam's emergency eVisa processing. Whether you need approval within an hour or by the end of the day, you can apply online and receive your eVisa via email.
3. Real Pricing for 2026
All fees below are in USD, apply to a single-entry visa, and already include the government fee. Multiple-entry adds $25 to any tier.
Fixed pricing shown upfront. Payment is made securely online by Visa or Mastercard.
4. Step-by-Step Application for Irish Citizens
Valid Irish passport (6+ months validity from your entry date), a digital passport photo (white background), travel details, and a payment card.
At applyevisavietnam.com, choose your processing speed, and fill in your full name (as on your passport), passport number, date of birth, and entry date.
Payment is required upfront to begin processing.
Within your chosen timeframe. Save it to your phone, and print a copy if you'd like extra peace of mind, to show at immigration.
5. Tips to Avoid Delays or Mistakes
- Double-check passport details — any typo can delay approval
- Apply as early as you can — our team works 24/7, so timing doesn't affect availability, but earlier submission still leaves more buffer
- Keep your email accessible — your approved eVisa is delivered there
6. Frequently Asked Questions
Can I apply for an emergency visa on weekends? +
Yes, through the dedicated Weekend/Holiday tier, since the government portal itself is closed on those days.
What if my flight is in less than an hour? +
Contact us immediately via WhatsApp or phone. Your eVisa must still be fully approved before you can board -- there's no way to arrange approval once you're already boarding, so the sooner you apply, the better your chances.
Do I need to visit the embassy? +
No. The entire application is completed online, and you'll receive the electronic visa (PDF) by email.
Is the urgent visa valid for both tourist and business travel? +
Yes. You can choose either purpose when applying.
